The job as Tools and Systems Developer

Are you excited about building tools and understanding the models and data that drive them? As our new Tools and Systems Developer, you will be working together with a team of analysts, software developers, and traders. Together, we strive to become the best at trading gas and utilizing the newest technologies to accomplish it.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the analytical foundation of our trading tools, while also applying your skills to write clean, efficient code to build robust systems for both manual and fully automated algorithmic trading.

The focus for this position is on contributing to automizing our setup and operations while bridging the gap between quantitative models and trading. Your work areas will be creating and maintaining core business tools and processes. This also gives the opportunity to shape the direction of future projects and decide on what is best practice.

Your key responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining core business tools and automated processes (Python, SQL, Azure)
• Driving the switch from old Python scripts/Excel-based tools into web-based tools and applications running on a cloud solution
• Contribute to the development of the systems needed to strengthen and further expand our algorithmic trading
• Ensure sufficient maintenance and overview of trading tools and systems
• Collaborating closely with analysts and traders to ensure that the tools not only work well, but also contribute meaningfully to decision-making and strategy
• Contribute with creativity and new thinking

Your qualifications and personal skills

• We imagine you have an educational background in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar where coding and problem-solving are at the core
• A good amount of coding experience with Python, and experience working with SQL and/or Azure is a plus
• A strong interest in improving your coding skills within Python, SQL, and learning Azure/cloud-based development etc.
• Strong analytic skills and an eye for detail
• The ability to work independently and structure your workload
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, as our company language is English
